Krakowska Spółdzielnia Niewidomych Sanel, a Polish producer and distributor of household goods, has joined the EKO Biznes program. Here are some key details:

1. Purchase of Low-CO2 Electricity: As part of the EKO Biznes initiative, Sanel will utilize electricity generated in combined heat and power plants (CHP). These CHP plants simultaneously produce both electricity and heat, effectively reducing greenhouse gas emissions compared to separate processes for electricity and heat production.
2. CO2 Emission Reduction: By choosing EKO Biznes, Sanel contributes to lowering CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. Each purchase of 1 MWh of cogeneration energy helps avoid emitting over 498 kg of CO2 (compared to coal).
3. Certification for CO2 Reduction: Upon selecting the EKO Biznes product, Sanel received an Accession Certificate issued by the Polish Energy Certification Society (PTCE). This certificate confirms the planned energy consumption and the value of CO2 emission reduction.
4. TAURON Cogeneration Plants: The energy sold under EKO Biznes is produced in TAURON’s cogeneration plants. These plants adhere to standards and procedures, with environmental impact closely monitored.
